Electrotren catenary masts shown are made of high impact plastic with metal arms. The mast comprises two parts: a rectangular base that gets screwed or glued down, and the pole that snaps into the base. These high-quality models are exact 1:87 scale and fully conform to NEM rules for geometry and tolerances. Catenary wires such as 0270, 0271 and Sommerfeldt will fit the masts perfectly by hook twisting or (optionally soldering) the ends into place.
